Dziobko. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by John Dziobko, Jr., that was taken near the 9th Street Footbridge in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 25 July 1952. Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #9698 and two other F-Class units whose numbers are not recorded. #9698 is an EH-15 built by GM-EMD in 1949 and rated at 1,500 horsepower. Here, they are pushing a freight train up the Allegheny Mountains to Gallitzin, where they will uncouple and return to East Altoona for yet another helper-pusher run up "The Mountain."
