TV 79  Contributor's Pick!
TV 79 was one of the hottest trains on the railroad, only a little cooler than TVLA, which was a direct run through to the Santa Fe. TV 79 also handled Santa Fe traffic, but did not run through, and had to transfer across Chicago. I think it may have also handled cars for Chicago delivery at 51st St. Here we see it blasting through the station behind a four unit set of GP 40-2s, a common power set for this type train.
