CNW Crossing of Duck Creek
If one wanders around in the Howard Dog Park, they may find themselves looking at the old CNW line north out of Green Bay. Looking generally north along the tracks, the old swing bridge is visible across Duck Creek. Just past the creek is Riverview Drive. A little further down, at the grade crossing with the cantilevered signals, is Lakeview Drive. Just beyond Lakeview, the track curves to the right, heading closer to true north, running to Michigan's Upper Peninsula, via Marinette. Years ago, there was also a line that diverged to the left, approximately where the tan and green sign can be seen under the cantilevered signal head. This line ran to Marshfield via Shawano and Wausau. It is now the Mountain Bay State Bike Trail.
