Here is page 28 of a 43-page article by James J.D. Lynch, Jr., entitled "Overview Of The History And Development Of The Pennsylvania Railroad's Altoona Shops." It was published originally in the Autumn 1996 issue of "Keystone" magazine, page 45. Top Left-Hand Photo: Stopped at the Altoona Passenger Station is the PRR's "Aerotrain," built by General Motors during July of 1955. Top Right-Hand Photo Caption: "An eastbound passenger train, headed by EP-22 #5710 (EMD E-8), is about to go under the 12th. St. bridge in Altoona, after passing through the station's train shed." Shown here is PRR engine #5710, an EP-22 built by GM-EMD in 1952 and rated at 2,250 horsepower.
