| Thales is supporting the forces in their missions ... but is also in rail business: The Gotthard tunnel opened in December 2016 and is the longest rail tunnel in the world. Thales technology will keep trains rolling from end to end. Thales worked as part of the Transtec Gotthard Consortium to supply the signalling infrastructure for the new route. This will enable more than 300 trains per day through the two tunnels at speeds of 200 km per hour. |
