| Portage. Here is an original photo that I took at the Muleshoe Curve just West of Duncansville, Pennsylvania, during the Summer of 1972. Shown here is Dr. Lloyd R. Ayers (my father) observing the small stream that flows through the three culverts which pass underneath the Curve. This part of the Curve is actually an embankment constructed with the till from two cuts on either side of a small valley. The PRR's right-of-way was built over the Allegheny Portage Railroad's path near this point. |
