A loaded Martin Lake, Texas coal train rolls southward on the KCS Shreveport Subdivision as KCS train CKCSH24. This train originated on the BNSF at Rawhide Mine in the Wyoming Powder River Basin as BNSF train C-RWMMLM0-26 with 135 coal loads. 1 car was set out at Lincoln, NE so the BNSF delivered this 134 car train to the KCS at KansaN City. Additional locomotives were added by the KCS for the climb over Rich Mountain as the train is seen here in 3x3 DP configuration. BNSF ES44AC 5909, KCSM AC4400CW 4509, and KCS SD70ACe 4051 are on the head end while BNSF SD70ACe 9382,, KCS ]D70ACe 4159, and KCS SD70ACe 4032 shove on the rear of this train which weighs 19,022 tons and is over 7,400 feet long with power. At Shreveport a BNSF crew will take over again and operate the train via UPRR trackage rights to the Luminanat Generation Company power plant at Martin Lake, Texas which is south of Longview. |
