NW Yard Slug 9900 - Norfolk & Western  Contributor's Pick!
This NW yard slug was rebuilt from either Wabash or Virginian FM H-24-66 units by the NW shops in May-June of 1962. There is some discrepancy in online sources whether this is an RP-F6Y or an RP-E6Y unit. The RRPA data base only lists the F6Y model. Although no information accompanied the original negative for this photo, the last known location for this unit was Bellevue, OH. Date is approximate.
