CGW 66A & B Cow-calf - Chicago Great Western  Contributor's Pick!
Nice action view of the Chicago Great Western cow-calf pair in action. The pair was built by EMD in July of 1949 and later went to the CNW roster. The photo comes from an original negative taken by an unknown Chicago rail fan whose negative was incorrectly labeled as Pullman Junction. Several in his set of negatives were labeled incorrectly. With the help of several viewers and especially Robert Anderson (see comments below), the location has been re-labled as St. Paul, MN. The date is approxmiate. No photographer name was listed.

Alan Fricker General Nice combination. The MILW and BRC also ran cow-calf combinations in the Chicago area. 12/19/2016 8:47:04 PM
Eric Reinert General This is not Pullman Junction. I can't place it, but CGW and GN units crossing paths, along with the overpass in the background cliches that it probably isn't on the south side. 12/19/2016 8:52:38 PM
Robert Anderson General This appears to St.Paul MN. GN units at SPUD roundhouse. That looks like the third st bridge. State St transfer run. 66AB was a regular in Twin Cities. 6/17/2018 3:34:54 AM
