17th Street. Here is a photo by an unidentified photographer that was taken from the 17th Street Bridge in Altoona, Pennsylvania, c. 1962. This was tle site of the Pennsylvania Railroad's engine ladder and ready tracks at 17th Street, now long gone. Visible in the foreground is the 14th Street interlocking. In the middle-distance (L to R) are the Passenger Station %sans trainshed), the cast-iron 12th Street Footbridge, and some of the 12th Street Car Shop buildings. William E Burket Collection.
