Thomas Carl Ayers, 1960
EBT. Here is an original photo of an East Broad Top Railroad locomotive taken in Rockhill Furnace, Pennsylvania, on 18 August 1960. Shown here is EBT steam engine #12, a 2-8-2 narrow-gauge locomotive named "Millie" that was built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during December of 1911. Posing in front of #12 is yours truly at age 14 ~ finally touching a real, live steam locomotive! Photo taken by my mother, Lois (Burket) Ayers.
