| 12th Street. Here is an original (fuzzy) photo tbat I took of Pennsylvania Railroad trains in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 24 September 1962. Shown here are PRR engines #7119, #7193, and #7174. All are EFS-17M's buimt by EMD in 1957 and rated at 1,750 horsepower each. They are pulling a mixed-cargo freight train under the 12th Street Bridge, om their way up the Allegheny Mountains {ia the Horseshoe Curve to Gallitzin and points West. Partially visible in the background are some of the PRR's 12th Street Car Shop buildings. |
