PRR 7081, EFS-17M, 1964
WIL-ALT-64. Here is an original photo that I took while riding in a Pennsylvania Railroad passenger train from Harrisburg to Altoona on 03 July 1964. Shown here (L to R) are PRR engines #7081 and #9654. Both were built by EMD. #7081 is an EFS-17M built in 1956 and rated at 1,750 horsepower. #9654 is an EH-15 built in 1950 and rated at 1,500 horsepower. They are parked on a passing track near Lewistown, Pennsylvania, waiting for clearance to proceed. (My train is moving from left to right.)
