Tom Beckett General This engine's claim to fame-or maybe notoriety-is that it was the power in the 1953 Congressional runaway wreck that crashed into Washington Union Station. It ended up in the lower level after the floor collapsed under it. Pennsy cut it in half, sent it to Altoona, and put it back together. It lasted almost to the end of service for the G's in 1983. 9/12/2016 3:28:28 AM
Steve Coraggio General Very nice shot. 9/18/2016 10:53:08 AM
Alan Page General Thanks for the kind comments, gentlemen! Another amazing G survivor, and a testament to the great workers at the Juniata Shops! 9/19/2016 4:52:59 PM
