FRDN 4-4-0 #3 - Ferdinand RR  Contributor's Pick!       
Nice example of a 1913 Baldwin built American-type locomotive although the photo is degrading due to age. The 6 1/2-mile (10-km) railroad connected Ferdinand, Indiana and nearby Huntingburg. Specs - bldr #40594, 60" drivers, 160 psi boiler pressure, 15x24" cylinders, petite engine weight of 80,000 lb, petite tractive effort of 12,240 lb. The loco was retired in 1951 and scrapped in 1952. Unknown photographer and the date is approximate.
