PRR 7226, EFS-17M, 1964
Blairsville. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train in Blairsville, Pennsylvania, on 25 October 1964. Shown here are PRR engines #7226, #2266, #2232, and #2237. All were built by EMD. #7226 is an EFS-17M built in 1957 and rated at 1,750 horsepower. #2266 is an EF-25 built in 1964 and rated at 2,500 horsepower. #2232 and #2237 are EF-22's built in 1963 and rated at 2,250 horsepower each. They are pulling a 94-car westbound iron-ore train with two cabooses (namely, #477449 and 477936) on the Blairsville Secondary Track.
