| Electric Scrap. Here is an original photo that I took of Pennsylvania Railroad locomotives in Frankstown, Pennsylvania, on 15 December 1962. Shown here (R to L) are eight PRR electric engines: #4720, #4708, #5689, #3915, #4704, #4768, #3900, and #3917. #4720, #4708, #4704, #4768 are P-5A's built in 1932 and rated at 3,750 horsepower each. #4720, #4708, and #4704 were built by Baldwin-Westinghouse ~ but #4768 was built by General Electric. #5689, #3915, #3900, and #3917 are B-1's built by Juniata. #5689 was built in 1934 ~ but #3915, #3900, and #3917 were built in 1926. |
