PRR 5902, EP-22, 1965
Bellwood. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train at Pinecroft ~ just west of Bellwood, Pennsylvania ~ on 26 June 1965. Shown here (L to R) are PRR engines #5902, #5857, and #5859. All were built by EMD. #5902 is an EP-22 built in 1951 and rated at 2,250 horsepower. #5857 and #5859 are EP-20's built in 1948 and rated at 2,000 horsepower each. They are pulling a 12-car westbound passenger train to Altoona and Pittsburgh. The time is 1:58 P.M. Photo taken at the Riggle's Gap Bridge.
