Here is one more shot for a better view of the tower. This tower was a dispatching office for many years with BN/Milwaukee Road staffing it with employees from both companies. the 4 jobs were split between the two railroads.

Robert Anderson General Not only a good photo,but your desription is right on.Q(BN) had 2nd trick and relief. The BN people had to pass the Milw rules exam as well. It was tougher so many BN folks did not vounteer. I was fortunate to be one. You had to be quick. To issue,complete and line up thel levers and go down and hang the flimsies in the hoops took amost as much time as the trains ran from St Croix or Hoffman. Especially in the passenger days.
