| The Builder heads around the curve towards its next stop at Red Wing, MN in about 40 miles. It was always great to watch it leave the cars/trucks in the dust in this stretch. This is where the Milwaukee Road and Burlington Northern swapped ownership of the double track main and the train is now on Milwaukee Road or Main 1 to Hastings, MN. I watched the very last North Star overnight train to Chicago pass this same location on 10/24/1981 at 2230. |
