Milw 97A         
Crossing the C&NW at Madison with a train for Janesville. This crossing had the distinction of being the only railroad crossing in the country surrounded by water. Monona Tower protected the crossing and was operated by the Milwaukee Road.

Andre Wehrle General Crossing still exists (although tower is long gone), WSOR uses the ex-C&NW tracks to serve a few customers in Oregon and on the stub of the old Ridge Runner line. Not much runs through on the ex-MILW side but occasionally there will be grain trains that run directly from Prairie du Chien to Janesville and back. 2/8/2023 10:19:31 AM
