ATSF 4-4-0 #95 - Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe  Contributor's Pick!       
Before merging into the Alco family, the Manchester Locomoitve Works built this 1897 4-4-0 American-type steam locomotive for the ATSF. A mainline passenger engine at first, the type later moved into local service. #95 was the last Eight-wheeler to be retired by the Santa Fe when it was withdrawn in 1940. Specs - class E2Q, 69" drivers, modest 150 psi boiler pressure, 18x24" cylinders, petite engine weight of 98,550 lb, modest tractive effort of 14,369 lb. Wesley Krambeck photo
