Milwaukee 547         
Passing Woodman on the way back to Madison. The Milwaukee Road wasn't the only railroad in Woodman. The C&NW had a narrow gauge line, know locally as "the Dinky", that ran from Fennimore to Woodman. This line was abandoned in 1926.

Andre Wehrle General Amazing and sad to think how many lines used to criss-cross the sparesely populated southwest corner of Wisconsin, and that they're all gone now south of this one, east of the old Q river line (BNSF) and west of Monroe. So many were lost in the early-mid '80s it's easy to forget there were many that disappeared into history long before that. 1/15/2018 10:41:02 AM
