New Glarus was famous for its cheese and dairy farms. Somewhere, lost to history, the branch was known to locals as the "Limburger Special".... a name derived from a particular flavor of cheese. This photo is the last trip from New Glarus. Rails first reached New Glarus in 1887. Bob Dorr photo
