CNJ 4-6-2 #829 - Central RR of New Jersey  Contributor's Pick!       
Good action shot of the 1923 Baldwin built 4-6-2 Pacific. This class was hand fired until the 1940s, when stokers were applied. Retirements began in 1948, and the last were retired in 1954. Specs - G2s class, 79" drivers, 210 psi boiler pressure, 26x28" cylinders, engine weight of 306,000 lb, tractive effort of 42,768. No date or location given for this photo but Mke Woodruff (see comment below) has identified the location as westbound at Elizabeth, NJ. Thanks, Mike! Unknown photographer
