| BNSF 7379 last of the DPU pair on a covered hopper group headed west-by-northwest into the reversing loop area through the tunnel (new underpass rails put below the north-south mains on the Columbia River train bridge between Vancouver and Portland/Jantzen Beach). For the record, the scratches all over the frame is the driving rainstorm happening as I was trying to snap a picture of the Interstate 5 bridge (in the distance, lift span towers) with a train in the same shot... as seen balancing on a guardrail post by the Cement transfer towers south of Vancouver Amtrak Station (there - if that isnt a long enough run-on sentence... needed something to prove I wasnt absolutely insane getting drenched to shoot *into* the one little splash of sun breaking through the storm clouds (thank you Mother Nature for proving you have a sense of humor)). |
