Of those 37, 25 were acquired by NP at the 12/31/1948 Pullman divestiture, including the CHIEF BIG WHITE, which were leased to Pullman for operation. All 25 cars received the Pine Tree paint scheme in 1949; the CHIEF BIG WHITE on May 3rd. At least 3 of these 25 cars later had the Loewy Two-Tone Green paint scheme applied in the mid-1950's; the CHIEF BIG WHITE on May 18th, 1956. These 25 cars later had the names removed and replaced by numbers #700-#724, with most but not all numbers applied according to the alphabetical order of the former names; the CHIEF BIG WHITE became #704 on May 18th, 1956. The #704 was withdrawn from lease on March 24th, 1967 (the last of the 25 cars under Pullman lease), and was subsequently scrapped. Scanned with an Epson V550 from a black & white photographic print.
