Built by Budd in February 1950 in Lot #9660-038 to Pullman Plan #9521 as AT&SF #1635 PINE LEAF, sold to Amtrak in 1971 as #2724, converted to head end power (HEP) in 1981 as #2458, retired in 2001 and subsequently sold to Illinois Transit Assembly (ITAX) in Madison, IL (later became Gateway Coach), resold in 2009 to Iowa, Chicago & Eastern and used as a MofW bunk car. Scanned with an Epson V550 from an original Kodachrome 35mm slide. |
