LIRR Coach #8512 - Long Island RR  Contributor's Pick!       
Little information about this car. It may be an ex-Maine Central car built circa 1931-38. It did appear on the April, 1963 roster published in a train magazine. Thanks to the help from Tom Beckett (see comment below), many details and the date has been confirmed.

Tom Beckett General Built by Osgood Bradley 1925, LIRR class P 69. Again, looks like Richmond Hill coach yard. Partly visible behind this car are a pair of PB54 baggage cars and a B60 at far right. The cars seen above the subject are P54's, the notorious "ping pongs" so named for their tendency to bounce when placed between heavier cars. 1/24/2016 2:03:06 AM
