| C1889: From the back of the old photograph: Building Maine Central Railroad Dexter to Dover. The Dexter & Piscataquis RR was charted in 1888 and built in 1889 at which time the D&P was leased to the MEC. The foreman looks rather serious, perhaps he’s eager for the crew to get back to work. Today you can walk or ride a bike on this right of way. /DL |
