In June of 1988, Guilford cast the D&H off into bankruptcy. The NYSW was named designated operator, and immediately took over running the railroad. They received help from CSX and NS, with CSX financing a total of 20 new B40-8s, as well as letting power run through to Jersey on stack trains. Heres SLN 4 rolling east at BD behind a pair of CSX units and an NYSW SD 45 as the late day sun reflects off the long line of containers.
