CN 4100
CN local crosses the South Channel (Neenah Channel) of the Fox River via the former joint MILW/SOO bridge at Neenah, WI on 28 Jun. '15. The small bridge in the foreground is one of the last remnants of a water power canal that was excavated long ago to power several industries upstream. The site of the former P. H. Glatfelter Co. paper mill, which stood here for 135 years, is out of frame to the right. An office building and clinic now occupy the site.

Richard Hopfensperger General Very nice I don't think I ever noticed the small bridge over the canal, at least not since I last walked the tracks behind Glatfelter in 1983. 7/30/2015 7:20:47 AM
