| Amtrak / Metro Station in Pasco, WA... nothing personal, but sort of a let down. I mean, from the satellite images I could see the old roundhouse foot print nearby and everything - even heard at one time some great old station description of the train station in the Tri-Cities... so Id made a special trip out of Connell down into town to see it. And you cant even go out on the platform unless youre there prior to five in the morning bearing a ticket. Guess Vancouvers open station got me spoiled. Guess I cant make fun of it any more... especially since it looks like a train station... this seemed to be designed to reduce transient usage (unsuccessfully while we were there... non-travelers outnumbered actual traveling folks 11:0... but there were four bus station employees there, so maybe thats 11:0:4 transient:traveler:employee (I didnt count us as transients, but I guess I should have). |
