Making the grade  Contributor's Pick!
A pair of NYSW units sandwich a "plum" as we often called the blue PLM lease units, as it is about the finish the steady climb ot Gulf Summit. This is SLN 5, today with 115 stack platforms and a lone conventional freight car. Once over the top, its 35 miles and a ride across Starrucca to get to Binghamton, where a CP crew will take over for the trip to Buffalo. Note the trailing unit, NYSW 4040. This is one of the CSX financed units that served on the NYSW during the directed service of the D&H. It will soon be returning to CSX.
