| CN local hauls five cars southward past the former SOO yard at Appleton Junction, WI on 21 Feb. '15. This small yard used to serve as an interchange for the SOO and C&NW. Later it served as an intermodal yard for the WC. The trucks of the locomotive and freight cars are not visible because the train is descending a slight grade which will allow it to pass under the former C&NW tracks that run to New London, while the yard tracks maintain their level grade and connect with the former C&NW yard. Train was returning to Neenah after working Shawano. |
