| Here is an example of a 1905-06 Baldwin built Pacific for the Santa Fe. Note the curved smokestack section hanging down - was it a type of smoke deflector? Specifics - class 1226, 4-cylinder balanced compound, 17"x28" high pressure cylinders, 28"x28" low pressure cylinders, simplified and superheated by Santa Fe shops between 1918-32, retired by 1950.
