NP #325 LOCH SLOY         
Built in 1959 by Budd in Lot #9691-090 to Plan #9540 as NP 24DXR-8DRM Slumbercoach #325 LOCH SLOY, 1 of 12 such cars built in that Lot; cars were delivered between May and December 1959. Initially, 4 cars were owned by NP as #325-#328 with LOCH-series names, 1 car was owned by MP (#699 SOUTHLAND), 3 cars were owned by B&O (#7702-#7704, with LAND-series names), and 4 cars were owned by NYC as #10800-#10803 with no names. In 1964, NP acquired these 8 cars as #329-#336 with LOCH-series names; the #335 and #336 were transferred to CB&Q ownership in 1965. BN planned on renumbering these 12 cars as #1480-#1491, the #325 as #1480, but only #334 LOCH RANNOCH (ex-NYC #10801) was renumbered, to #1489. In 1971, Amtrak acquired 11 of the 12 cars as #2024-#2034, the #325 as #2024. The 12th car, #331 LOCH LONG, was acquired in 1972 as #2035. In 1980-1981, Amtrak converted these 12 cars to HEP, the #2024 was converted to #2080 in February 1980. The #2080 was retired and later listed for sale, in February 2001. EXIF: 4:20 PM, f/2.7 @ 1/250
