Built in 1928 by AC&F in Lot #474 as GM&N business car #50 (later GM&O #50), and was assigned to GM&N/GM&O President Isaac B. Tigrett. The car was later owned by his grandson, Isaac Tigrett III, and based in New Orleans. Tigrett later sold the car to John Paul DeJoria, head of the Patrón Spirits Company, hence the name applied to the car.
