Ted Brumberg	General	Built in 1948 by Budd in Lot #9639-021 to Plan #9507 as WP 16 section sleeper #871 SILVER PALM, 1 of 6 total built for the CALIFORNIA ZEPHYR (CB&Q later ordered a 7th "protection" car in 1952). All 7 of these cars were reconfigured in 1963-1964 to 48 leg rest chairs. WP sold both of its cars, #871 and #872 SILVER POPLAR, to the Auto Train Corporation in 1971, and both were reconfigured to 52 seat buffet lounges; #871 as AT #580 and #872 as AT #582.	7/15/2014 6:42:32 PM
