Lake Shore  Contributor's Pick!
The Boston section of the Lake Shore makes its stop at Pittsfield Mass. The Amtrak station here was put in after they restored service in 1975. The former station was a large wooden frame building about 1/2 mile to the west that served the NYC and New Haven, which came up from Danbury.
