A proud crew stands by this sharp looking American-type locomotive built in July of 1888 by Schenectady Locomotive Works. Specifics - class E-8, 63" drivers, 140 psi, 18"x24" cylinders, engine weight of 80,500 lb, tractive effort of 14,688 lb. Note the block print number in the lower right corner. No location, date or photographer were listed on this photo. An arbitrary date of 6/1/1900 is used to fit within the range on this site.
