Sidelined for now
WIR #20 and #316 sit tucked away on a siding in Palouse. The #20 is down with electrical problems, and the 316 has mechinacal issues. With the two new dash 8s the W&I can now afford to take these units out of service to fix them up. I am told they plan to at least repair the #20 and bring it back to service.

Will Dow General Nice Shot. About the GP30m does the "m" meen that it has the SD45 engine, or does i just meen its been modified. 2/13/2015 3:14:46 PM
Maddie Farnsworth General I assume the M stands for modified, this is one of several GP30's that C&O rebuilt into GP30M's. They added updated electrical systems and did a few mechanical enhancements as well. 2/14/2015 5:24:06 PM
