| Delivered to Pennsylvania as PRR 6076 SD40 in February 1966, to PC 6076, to CR 6329, to EMDX 6424. EMD rebuilt then placed this locomotive on a three year lease with Union Pacific and arrived fully painted as UP SD40-3 4772. When the lease expired in June 2002 this diesel was renumbered first LLPX 2822 then EMDX 2822 remaining in UP paint with the titles and UP logos removed. In this photo EMDX 6424 is idling in BNSF Alliance Yard in Haslet sill in Conrail blue with patches of PRR/PC black visible. |
