The concrete pier seems very substantial for this bridge. The girders appear to be quite deep--does anyone have a guess as to the Cooper E-rating? Photos in various media show 2-8-2's in steam days, and multi-unit lashups of four-axle diesels (lots of GP40's, e.g.) in and around Eldon, for example (Eldon is a few miles to the east of this photo).
