C&O 0-6-0F #37 - "Fireless Cooker"  Contributor's Pick!       
Built by the H. K. Porter Company in 1949, this fireless switcher ran on pressurized steam, often earning the nickname "pressure cooker" by many railroads. This was a Chesapeake & Ohio class C-8, one of three ordered. Forrest Trittenbach photo. Date is approximate.
