BNSF 259
This odd looking thing was originally delivered to Colorado & Southern as SD9 829 in January 1957. After the merger which created Burlington Northern this first generation EMD became BN 6224 until 1993 when this unit was sent to VMV and returned as TEBC6 6298. When BN became BNSF this former diesel entered the new company still wearing the BN assigned 6298, then 1820, and in 2009 became 259. Looking great in H3 paint and only appearing to be an SD9 from the frame down. Behind 259 is a brand new CitiRail GE completely blocked by the TEBC6. Luck was not on my side today.
