BM 3710 was one of the last ten 4-6-2 locomotives that Lima would ever make for any railroad- To mark the delivery of these 10, Boston & Maine sponsored a naming contest among New England K-8 students. The winning name for this first loco was "Peter Cooper" seen as a plate on the side. The loco is posing at the North Station in Boston on this sunny April day in 1938.
