| A six-track or more yard with a few buildings typify C&O operations in southern West Virginia. The structure on the right may have been for yard crews to keep warm--look at the stove and pile of coal! It features standard ship-lap siding. The larger building on the left was the yard office and scalehouse, IIRC. Notice the bay window and board-and-batten construction of the yard office |
