| This view looks east before the rails swing north towards Parkersburg and Wheeling. The rails have been gone for several years but the "hump" still gives a clue as to where the tracks used to be. The yucca tree or whatever kind of plant that's over there marks just about the center of the former trackage. This grade crossing never had flashing signals, as best I can recall, but I do remember a couple of "crossbucks"--long gone by now. Guyandotte, WV: 12-27-2012 |
