The car was part of the derailment on the Meridian & Bigbee in 2007 and was scrapped in 2008. Ted Brumberg General Built in 1949 by P-S in Lot #6814 to Plan #4140, 1 of 49 total RIVER-series 10RM-6DB sleepers built in that Lot, 46 of which were built for the SOU pool, specifically for the CRESCENT and ROYAL PALM; the other 3 cars were built for the L&N for the PRR pool. SOU owned 24 (#2000-#2023), subsidiary CNO&TP owned 5 (#3400-#3404), L&N owned 5 (#3400-#3401, #3410-#3412 [PRR]), A&WP and WofA both owned 1 (no numbers), FEC owned 5 (these 5 did not have RIVER-series names), and PRR owned 8 (#8351-#8358). Specifically, SOU #2023 WARRIOR RIVER was built for the ROYAL PALM. SOU sold 4 cars (1 CNO&TP) in 1973 to Amtrak, and 19 (3 CNO&TP) were sold in 1979 to Amtrak, including the WARRIOR RIVER as #2861, which was sold in 1983 to Rory Blake, and was later acquired by the Promontory Chapter NRHS.
